Quality & Construction

RB Authentic:  All items constructed in this series is made from reclaimed cedar lumber that is commonly known as "old barnwood."  This lumber is rare and hard find and usually has lots of deficiencies.  Therefore, each piece is hand selected for thickness and quality and results in lots of waste material during the build process.

The RB Authentic line is Special Order only and may require a longer lead time for delivery.  Please note that reclaimed lumber has varying color and aging (patina), and that no 2 planters are the same.  We will only build planter sets from the same lot of materials to acheive a consistant and complementary appearance.

RB Stained & Stripped:  Items in this line are constructed of new 3/4" Western Red Cedar.  All exposed, rough sawn areas are fully sanded for a smooth, better joinery fit, and final appearance.  All wood joints in everything we build are dry fitted prior to assembly and we use a generous application of weatherproof glue and nails.  We DO NOT use thin cedar fencing pickets.
